Surround Cameras - Junction View
Hi Guys,
When I did an LRE day, we did a test with the junction view of the surround cameras. We pulled past the back of another vehicle measuring the distance between when the cameras could see the tow bar and when the driver could. I remember it was a pretty good demo.
Anyway, now I have my own D4 with surround cameras, the front cameras seem to be facing totally forward and I'm wondering if they have been fitted incorrectly. As far as I can tell, they face fully forward (meaning the two front views are near identical) which means Junction View is useless
Can anyone else with cameras confirm if what I have is wrong so I can take it back to the dealer for fixing.
Thanks!
PS the other thing that surprised me is that all 5 cameras can be enabled at any speed - something I thought was impossible normally.D4 HSE, Active Rear Diff, surround cameras, adaptive xenons, heated steering wheel, TPMS, remote park heating, centre console cooler box

The so-called "Junction View" does look fairly forward and they're next to useless for actual junctions. I only use the junction view to check for my cats on the driveway and garage.
To be a true junction view, the cameras should have been fitted towards the corners.
And yes, my cameras can be enabled at any speed.

Junction view is just another aid and on very blind junctions it does help BUT nothing beats caution.LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF
