Are carpet mats supplied?
Quick question - are there "standard" mats supplied with a new vehicle? I bought a new HSE in June and ticked the premium mats option-
When I picked up the car I had a set of nutmeg mats with "land rover" embroidered into the outer edge. I queried whether I should have been charged for them in the 1st place as I'd seen somewhere that they were standard On the HSE. Months later the dealer has given me a new set FOC which have a metal embossed "land rover" logo instead. Now I'm wondering if these are the "premium" mats and I was supplied with something standard- they are pretty decent in any case.. So, just wondering if anyone had a new D4 supplied with mats FOC?

No mats are standard, even in HSE. I got carpets FOC from dealer, but embroidered not metal tag. Oddly I would guess machine embroidery is still more costly than tagging on a metal tag so maybe the embroidered ones ARE the top spec available. Probably only the wisdom of TLO could shed light as to which is top top spec If it don't fit the third time - try a bigger hammer

Mats
Option according to stratstones doncaster and certainly not in an 2012 xs sdv6 cos i had to buy some. Cheap skate, pen pinches I put on my customer feedback on a 46k car. I got some genuines off e bay for 56 quid cos i was not giving stratestones any more of my money. Get the dealer to put them in or buy the car from somewhere else. I think dealers forget without the customers they dont exist.

I ordered 'premium' carpet mats for my HSE @ £85 because they were an option, but apparently there is a better (and more expensive) version available as accessories. According to the MY12 D4 brochure, page 43, it says that premium carpet mats are included in the HSE Premium Leather Pack.
I took this up with my dealer but they are still waiting for a reply from LR.
There was an earlier thread on this.

when the D4 was launched you did get free carpet mats with the HSE, unfortunately LR made them a cost option from the 2010 model.

I guess it depends on the negotiating skills. I stood firm on my order for mats and flaps, which in the end the dealer folded and swallowed the cost for me. It's my understanding the dealer supplies and fits these, as the factory supplies the motor without optional trinkets. Might be wrong but that's what my principle said anyhow.
