Hello
Was changing the oil filter today and being in a rush caught the little pipe that sits next to the filter housing bowl it has and electrical connection to it in a junction where it then goes three ways on pipe goes dow to then engine and the other two run opposite directions along the engine to somewhere on the sides the connection is red and is a sensor of some kind mine has broken off on the pipe that goes from this connection down to the engine block beside the oil filter housing is is curled around do it sits down and is very brittle
Looks the the pipes are all in one unit joinning to this red plug what are these pipes and where what do they feed and how go is replace them many thanks sorry for the long ramble cant get a photo just now

just looked at the thread Oil change instructions for TDV6 and the red connection is shown quite clearly in picture three and the two pipes out of the three running across the engine can be seen as well they are the grey small ones as they seem to be insulated or heat proofed the on that has snapped which goes from the red connector dowards to the engine seems to be a very small inside diameter and has oil in it? or oil deposits is it an oil pressure pipe sensor? many thanks

Is it the injesctor leak off pipe? It was very very brittle it just caught on my coat cuff and snapped I think diesel may have made it brittle if it is the leak off hose
Is it possible to fit a new one or am I going to have to take loads of stuff off to get at it?
Many thanks

Hi toby,
I'm just speculating, but perhaps a bit of "heat shrink" tubing may solve your problem.
Best Wishes,
