Poor acceleration

Here we go more problems ! Just had both egr's blanked and it hasnt cured my poor performance, I have d3 hse 56 plate 50 k miles auto ,put the foot to the floor and nothing for a few seconds then she goes leaving a ploom of smoke behind 21-22 miles per gallon .the accelerator seems very heavy and unresponsive struggles on motorway to reach 80 mph no dash faults anyone any ideas .

Blocked intercooler is a possibility. Also, you need to check that the intercooler hoses have not delaminated internally.

Have you checked/cleaned the MAP sensor? Temp sensor?
Split/leaky intercooler hose?
Check the grommet between the body and the airbox inlet - I have seen a couple twisted and choking the inlet.
Check that the hard plastic air intake that goes over the radiator (between the MAF and the turbo) is actually connected - sometimes it gets unclipped on the passenger side if someone has worked on the car.
