Equally.. I have Torq-Tune and that has transformed my D3 ...with excellent almost 'sports' performance and better fuel economy with an extra 3.5 mpg compared to previous. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I also have Torq-tune which I would highly praise... Keeps making me want to go out for a drive!
Had my first enjoyable moment last week at a junction with a RRS. As TFC advised, hold it on the footbrake brake until the torque converter bites, then floor it. Wiped the smirk off his face
Waiting for my 1st chavmobile (sorry, X5) now.

Preloading the Torque Converter is an old trick that we used when drag racing auto's, works a treat.
My D3 is Turbo chipped and is much better than the standard car was. It still has a slight delay on a standing start but nothing like as bad as it was. I'm chuffed because it makes a good car great. Whichever remap you choose I'm sure you'll be happy that you did it. FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!
D4 HSE 2012 Like a second wife, more expensive but goes better! I almost cried this time!
D3 HSE 2006 (Almost 8 years together, true love)
Land Cruiser VX 1994 11 years together, wife cried when I p/ex'd for my D3

As Fisherman said, regardless of the remap, it's not an option, it just has to be done!

If you do a search and as you can see from the replys already you will see that there are any number of tunes and most people seem very happy. There are lots of people you can go to get the remap. Lots of them appear to just resell other peoples mappings, others can tweak them on a dyno to suit your requirements / vehicle condition. The worlds your Oyster.
Have fun

Hi all,
My question re chipping (the type you put in cars not those that go in your mouth..or what they do to native forests!!) is there a 'best' time to do it? I guess you should wait until the car is 'run in' (when is that by the way?).
I have a TDV6 auto that has just done 5000Km or should I wait until after the first service? regards
Peter

When I got mine done from TC, I enquired just as I had bought mine, and they recommended to have a 1000 miles on, so drove to Cornwall and back and a few more trips and job done

Just had my 06 SE auto boosted, not done long journey yet, not touched MPG readout, showing 25.7mpg,
since remap, I don't care if the read out is 20mpg, the extra performance is well worth it.
Not had the Java Black Stallion on a rolling road to prove these figures, taking their word for it 68ft.lb torque,49bhp,
does anyone out there know if these figures are par for the course?
This is my first attempt at this I just read other members points of view, not a computer wizard like most of you guys, hope i get this right.
