Service question x2 for a newbie

Guys,

1. Can the service indicator be reset without the use of Faultmate or similar?

2. Track rod ends. Is it one each side and either way any thoughts on the use of non LR ones?

And if you had a more detailed location, you 'might' find one of us with diags would be close enough to reset the service indicator for you Wink

Thanks Guys, sorry for being so vague.

It's an 05 D3 S. Had it serviced by my Indy today but he forgot to reset the indicator and it's a fairly long round trip to get him to do it.

I take it there's no hidden function that resets it without Faultmate?

I'm in Northern Ireland by the way!

Whoops just managed to figure out the forum search tool. Loads of posts ref being unable to reset this indicator, will just have to call in again and get it reset.

On the plus side the track rod ends fix seems an easy DIY job!
