Now , that i have learned , semi hard way, that my friend's old Porsche and his fleet VAN was "sweetened "or should i say bot contaminated with a sugar( apparently, neighbors don't like him very much), I am looking for a alternate way to retro fit a LR3 's fuel door latch system.I don,t have it , I looked behind panel, that holds scissor jack and there are no cables to pull or any latch mechanism so to speak..I am wondering , if it is possible to connect such device with a original parts from dealer and install it , so when i super lack the car it also closes a fuel door along with the rest .I have a Faultmate...if it helps...
Is it possible to retro fit ??? thanks
I was aware of of destructive properties of sugar on our teeth, but apparently it does no good to fuel tanks as well.Strange...

It should lock with the car locked though
EDIT just read the post properly
Why not just order a locking cap

Even if the flap doe,s lock it,s easy to break it open as there is only a small plastic clip holding the flap locked I know I had to break mine open in a garage one day to fill up.
Why don,t you purchase a locking fuel cap.

Thanks guys for the link..I might just order one although, my is LR3, I don,t think there is a difference in size fuel line, also how does it work with a cap sensor. Is the "loose cap "message pressure related or is it something else. Not , that I have this message shown, but this is compatibility wise related question.
