Tarzan,
Mine stop mid screen. Dealer told me to replace the wiper switch in the steering column. Which I did and still have the problem. Coincidentally my windscreen is cracked as well. If that is the problem so be it. But if is something else I sure would like to know.
Regards,
David

I read on here, recently, that a forummite who had this problem found that it was due to a brush in the wiper motor becoming dislodged.
Worth a look.

I have no idea what is wrong. Dealers told me replace the Wiper motor, I DID. Then to replace the steering switch,I DID. The to replace the wind screen, I DID. but still the problem persists. All the money for nothing. I am leaving it as is. this.

mine does the same on the 'push down' single wipe function. I read elsewhere that it might be the switch but now im not conviced. Also my autowipe function has stopped working making me think that it could be the switch (as ocassionally the auto wipe will work randomly then stop again after a few wipes)
My screen is cracked (repaired) and very pitted so it could be that but i would have thought that the drag from the pits would in no way be enough to stop the motor.
I think something is tripping the 'emergency stop' function of the wipers that is designed to stop you burning out the motor if the wipers get stuck (by heavy snow etc). and that leads me back to thinking its the steering column switch sending an internittet signal causing the same fault.
let me know how you get on.

Well I have a new wiper motor in hand to replace mine but I am not encouraged by Tarzan's experience. I will let you know what happens as a result of replacing the wiper motor.
Cleppard I doubt it is the switch since Tarzan and I both have replaced the switch with no solution. I am curious about the emergency stop function. I wonder how that is controlled and if there is a solenoid for the wiper or emergency stop function.

I think I found the problem. The people that fitted the glass for me must have broken the or cut the wires while fitting the screen. There is 2 wires on the LH Apost wiring that is cut(NOT THE YELLOW AIRBAG WIRING) blue and red wire, and the 4 wires on the rain sensor is also broken.
The question is: Does LR have a spesific procedure to repair the wires that is not airbag spesific?

OK, found it. Passenger side fusebox had some corrosion. cleaned it up and all is up and running. I thought after my P38 Range Rover the fusebox trouble would stop. But OK it is all 100% for now.
