Key Fob Charging Coil

Does anybody know if there is a way of confirming if the transponder coil (D219) for the key fob is working correctly, last week one of two keys started playing up locking and unlocking my car .sometimes it would work sometime it would not, i tried with the spare key and it works fine. my worry is that the charging coil is not charging and after a while the second key will also stop working as it is not receiving a charge.

The key that was struggling to unlock the car would start the car every time but am i right in saying this is working and different circuit the RF Receiver unit also mounted in the steering column.

Any Help greatly received Thumbs Up

Could just be the rechargeable battery needs replacing?

This post might help give a heads up on how the system works - http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic39609.h...%2Bbattery

key not working properly

I had this problem and then the alarm started playing up - it was the alternator on its way out and it died just a few days later!!!!!!!!!!! suddenly all the electrics start to fail sat nav dies...and you have to pull over quickly so I suggest you get yours checked.
