Anyone know how big the hard disk is.
Anyone ever tried to increase the hard disk size.
Then you can store more cd's on it?

This is all just guesswork but it's not going to be a) a particularly big disc and b) an easy task to upgrade
a) - the unit takes 10 discs at a lossless 1:1 ratio, allowing 650 mb uncompressed disc that's only 6.5 GB
The rest of the disc will be given over to maps and nav data plus will have some headroom built in for updates etc.
All told my guess is somewhere in the 30-40GB mark.
b) - to replace the HDD you'd need to be able to take an exact image of the nav portion of it and then transfer it to a new drive. You'd also need to reprogramme the unit such that the software could then render on screen the fact that it can take more than 10 discs. I would suggest that both of those things would be off limits using a normal PC/Mac and would require some kind of proprietary tools.
Bottom line, I'd be amazed if it could be done by tube average punter. FFRR Vogue SE - Waitomo
