2011 Disco 4 Squeak

Hi,

5500 miles, developed a squeak..

Lots of standing water over 2 days.. could it be EPB at this mileage?.

Any quick ways of telling, fixes.. or is it a dealer trip?

Land Rover Engineer coming to the house tomorrow

...slightly embaressing as a 5 year old follows me up the road on his bike to complain about the squeak

what kinda squeak is it?

We need a description to be able to diagnose it without being able to hear it, the guys on here a good, but not that good

Ok..

Rear as far as I can tell.

Doesn't change when braking.
Does change with speed.
Doesn't change when loading each side of car - swerving
Squeaks about every 0.5 secs at 20mph.

Constant pitch cold or hot.

Sounds like might be something stuck in the brakes, have yoy tried reversing and applying/releasing the foot brake and couple of times. Not firm enough to stop the vehicle just to move the pads a little?

Was a pad that had developed a rough edge OSR.

Amazing how much noise it made.. Knocked the edge off the edge and all seems ok for now. LR4 HSE 5.0 V8 Alaska White
