I've noticed that on mine too, bloody annoying especially when you haven't moved the stalk to operate it. Not found anything in the manual that relates to it either, but will read it again in case I've missed it

Mine only seems to do it when I start up on a wet morning, one or two wipes and no more, stalk in the off position.
Worth remembering if it is an icy morning or covered with snow...guessing it would not do the wiper or motor a lot of good!2010 DISCOVERY 4 XS
