Warranty - Key-Fob Land-Rover Key Reprogramming
I wonder if anyone can advise.
My 2005 car was in Stratstone Nottingham all day yesterday to replace the instrument cover perspex under warrant (small cracks at the lower edge). Whilst they had the car, I asked them to sort one of the keys which had a non-operational Land-Rover button. This they did but I was told that reprogramming the key when codes are forgotten should have been chargeable. Fortunately the charge was waived as they had kept me waiting for so long (seized roller-shutter door).
This seems mean to me - the car was faulty yet they claimed they should have charged me for rectification.
I love the car - it tows 3T with ease and drives well but I see far too much of Stratstone who seem to be intent on me having a Toyota next time.Paul

"Codes" - the word dealer used - it appears that the car forgot about that button on the key fob.Paul

The only programming codes I'm aware of are the three selectable codes with instructions in the user manual...did you try any of those? If not they may charge you...but I agree it would be a bit mean. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
mm they must have lots of problems with that roller door, they used that as an excuse with me twice
Funnily enough I use a different dealer now and they don't have any problems with their doors Zermatt silver 06 reg.
Gone but not forgotten !!!

This is easily sorted, find a decent dealer. You may need to travel a little way but it will be worth it, maybe some others in your area can suggest some better ones?DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Then you're right.... they shouldn't even to attempt to charge you ....tell them your off to seek an element of customer service elsewhere 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
