Had a cracking day out doing the level 1 at Eastnor today, is there anywhere the D3 can't go?! Even with standard road tyres nothing was an obstacle. Makes you realise even more what an awsome vehicle we've got
A few pictures here http://disco3.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=64 (sorry Simon, no sheep though we did see a few)
Roll on August 7th so I can have a go in my own D3, even tempted to check out the tracks a Billing

Simon, don't even think of taking your D3 around Billing, it is not a difficult course, but it is serious. Last year a brand new RR was very badly damaged.
The main problem is that people come from all over Europe and it is busy, so most try to rush round, not like the LR course which is controlled and generally slow.
See you had Chris as your instructor as well, lucky man.

Si, there are two courses used. One is by LR Exp and you are driven around, but not by genuine LRE guys. They are imports under the banner and no other vehicles are allowed around the course.
The other is for private vehicles and to be honest it is not for new D3's. The fanatics who turn up in their 'monsters' really chew it up and it looks as if it may rain a little, which will make it really muddy. I am going round the course today in a friends serious off roader. If I can get him to agree, I will see if he will take some people around on Saturday. Absolutely no promisses though as it is busy.
Mike I know as well, he's a very good instructor. Chris is the chief instructor.

Si, I am the worst person in the world for photos. I just don't take them.

I was at Esatnor yesterday (saturday) for a full day D3 experience. It was great. the D3 almost makes it too easy!
I particularly the 1-in-1 gravel decent. I've got a lovely video of it.
very professional outfit. Top quality.
Apparently they have been tesing the new Freelander at Eastnor. He's says its going to be really good (my instructor owns and older FL himself and he says the new one addresses all it's (few) shortcomings.

I've had three Freelander's from when they first came out to my wifes current soft back version.
The V6 was great fun and all were pretty good off road.
The new one looks to be working out to be another classy LR design.
