Youtube better as BBC one is just voice with series of still pics. Good to see we're not wearing out our licence fee!
Can I save a video clip from youtube to my hard drive???

Don't think the one on BBC site contains the first few minutes either - you know the bit with the kid and the foldey seat.
I, however, do have the full version in Google Video Player AVI format (no longer available on Google Video) - all 71Mb of it, if anyone else wants itSteve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

If this is the episode I think it is (TG is currently off-air while waiting for the Hamster to recover from his injuries in a certain jet-powered dragster), the entire original episode is available via bittorrent. Do a search in the TG episodes list on "Discovery 3" at:
Watched it again last night and I'm sorry to say that they picked an easy 'mountain' to climb. I couldn't help but scoff at JC extolling the virtues of the views FFS, he was only 1000ft up from sea level. We don't call that a mountain - that's a 'hillock'
I only hope that the southern softies don't think THOSE are the best views we have to offer
In the days of WWI, someone allegedly took a model T up to the top of Ben Nevis. I reckon it must have been carried up there by the Wright brothers, but getting a D3 up there would have been MUCH more interesting. Unfortunately, I doubt if the red-tape brigade would have allowed the BBC on Nevis with a 4x4

Impressed I was with the D3 road test (made me buy one), I think the view from the top of the Correyairack is as good if not better.
Would love to have a go at the Top Gear mountain though. Anyone know the owner???

I saw the programme both this time and the first time it was shown. Did you know this was a repeat of a similar test which was done with the very first Range Rover V8 back in the (I think) sixties. Then the mountain climbed was Cader Idris in Snowdonia. Now there's a mountain!! Showing my age 'cause I remember it well.
