discovery 3 air suspension fault - car sinks intermittently

I bought my discover 3 tdv6 (used car) in May from stratstone.

In two occasions, I found the car drops to it's lowest height while the car was parked. one in June and one recently (the weather was very hot that two days, not sure if it's related).

But the car just lifted itself back up to the normal height when I switched the engine on, and driving seems to be normal.

However, the second time when it happened, the amber air suspension fault light came up on dash board that day while I was driving and stayed on. I switched off the engine and walked around the car, the height seemed to be alright. I then switched the engine back on and the light just gone.

I booked the car into the dealer for a check and they said they could see the fault code, but just could not reproduce the problem. without being able to reproduce it, they can do nothing about it!! very frustrating...

Any one have any similar fault or idea about this?

Thanks a lot!

Rick

I've just replaced the brake light switch. The malfunction of the switch coused that the car lowered when driving and the air suspension fault light, the brake light and the DTC light came up.

When did it last happen?

A brake pedal switch fault is a known cause of suspension issues - a simple fix.

I have also heard of the wrong tail/brake light bulb causing suspension issues.

If it hasn't happened again it may not be an issue, at least for now!!

Don't really know about the brake light switch issue.

But my car sinked when it's not driving, parked over night etc, and pump up properly as soon as the engine is switched on.

the dealer finllay agree to replace the front and back crossover valve as they suspect that could be the cause which leak the air inttermitently (again, it's not a constant leak), not sure if it will fix the problem, will have this followed up later on.

Thanks!
