Another Hidden Menu?
Was just finishing cleaning the interior when I decided to wipe down the touch screen with a damp chamois, not sure how I did but a hidden menu appeared on its own, at first I thought it was the one from the home menu but this one had a clear errors button and a screen capture button on it, does anyone know how I got it or how to bring it up again???

I know I know... hind sight is a wonderful thing! I really did think it was the menu accessed by 753 pin but then as I was busy cleaning away I relaised 2 things
1 It had different options on
2 I had not put in a pin number.
I have now wiped the screen every which way to try and recreate it but nothing is doing it!
The only thing I think it may be is I accidentally accessed the bios when the landrover badge is showing during a boot up! Is that even possible?

You're not alone !!!
I also did this just after I got my D4... cleaning the dash and up popped a totally different screen with loads of numbers in a much smaller squared font than usual. I didn't really read it because for a moment I thought I'd bug*ered something up and quickly recycled the ignition which seemed to set it back to normal. (It's nothing like the "753" screen)
After I realised I hadn't broken it, I tried to recreate the sequence and couldn't. I think the ignition was on at the time but without the engine running. Didn't mention the secret screen on here because I'd started to think I'd imagined it...
So glad someone else has seen it... maybe I'm not going mad after all.

Isn't that the one you get with the 753 code?
The one I got was very different... small white font on black screen with lots of info scrolling past. A bit like a PC off of the 80's!!!

What does that screen do Mr Wiggs? Can you do anything of use from any of these screens? Also sorry for the questions but can you get any "Faultmate" style product for use with a laptop?

you can see quite a lot from these screens ...read trouble codes ( only related to the nav )
test voice control , test tmc , test the most system , check software versions ...quite a few bits and bobs
Faultmate MSV2 can be used with a laptop ....very easy software aswell .
I have managed to get onto your screen twice so far ( still not sure how yet )
Dont press the factory restore button ....it has just wiped about 50 pre stored locations and all previoius destinatons out of the memory G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
