Still simmering from finding our D3 with every panel on one side deeply keyed and have now found out that every 4X4 in the street has had the same damage.
Police not interested as usual.
Bet they would be if I caught the and used their face to damage the pavement.

I really sympathise with you- just waiting for this. Maybe you would like to send a copy of the bill to greenpi$$, pointing out how many litres of paint etc had to be used & waisted to put the vandalism (they have directly inspired) - right. 2007 TDV6 HSE 'Silver Lady'. With 'free' privacy glass LOL.
Taking the greenpi$$ is: Green taxing your citizens more & using some of the money to buy nukes.

Thanks guys.
Anyone with any advice on how to sort the scratches. Each about 5 mm wide and 30 mm long. They are not down to the metal and I don't want to get shafted by the dealer.
The car has a few minor battle scratches from off roading so I am not worried about a perfect finish.
Oh! and Mr anti 4X4 f*ckwit t*sser, now you have done the damage there is no easy way for me to sell it, so it will be staying with the family till it uses all the planet's oil reserves. You CNUT!
Sorry for the rant

Yea, my brother caught some scrote in his 205 GTI a few months back, he pulled him from the car and sat on him until the police arrived, so 45 Mins later when they arrive. The Scrote says he was just sleeping in the car and as he is now bleeding my brother gets arrested .....
Go figure.

This happened to a neighbour of mine a few years back, he caught somebody breaking into his new Golf GTI, and gave them a good hiding. He called the police after making a so called citizens arrest, but got arrested himself and found guilty of actual bodily harm.
The sad thing is he lost his job as a result, then his car, then his home and finally his wife left him. He turned to drink, and thats the last I heard of him.
The Real sad thing is the lowlife who tried to nick the GTi got off with a caution.

Yea, the 205 "would be thief" got a caution too, my brother was released on bail pending charges from the thief.
Miraculously he dropped all charges, nothing at all to do with the fact we all knew where he lived

What are you supposed to do then if you catch the b*stards. Give 'em a cup a tea and £10 for their cab fare.

You are supposed to call the police. To which they will respond "I am sorry we have no units available"
So, my advice is to say that you have caught a thief, and shot him dead. They will be there in seconds!
When they question you, and say that they thought you had said you shot him? you can honestly respond "but officer, I thought you said you had no units available"

The best thing to do is say 'I think he's got a gun' ....the same effect results and you might have just been mistaken
I have done this before...a guy was trapsing through the hotel grounds with a pellet gun, looking very sus ......I told the operator he had a gun and half a dozen police cars turned up within a few minutes 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Looked at the Alliance of Anti 4X4 site thing and they actually encourage people to damage cars.
Should not the police sort this out, it is a form of terrorism after all.
