On my shiny new MY2012 HSE, I am very disappointed in the simply infuriating "thunk" that the wipers make when the reach the end of the up wipe and then start to head back down again.
This can be done to one of the following: clever design; faulty wiper blades; a wind up by the LR dealer.
Will this wonderful accompaniment to the wiper motor whine be something I have to get used to or should I expect more (or less?) from my Discovery?
It reminds me of a 1980's Vogue Range Rover - can't possibly be from the same parts bin, can they?

My 57 reg D3 does exactly the same thing. Especially on fast.
I'd say get used to it.. Disco 3 TDV6 SE, black, de-badged, blacked out windows, cream leather interior, never seen a dirt track in its life.

Possibly you have got some polish on the windscreen? Try a good scrub with some proper automotive glass cleaner.

It banged onto the a-pillar trim in my case. Undo the wiper arm and rotate it down à bit. CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS
