clutch slip first thing in morning ??
Hello to all as i am new here and to D3
In the morning when i pull away it fills and sounds like clutch slip and high revs for 150 yards then fine .
any info would be great .
d3 2.7 manual se 2005
is this normal or is it just me.

I think you will find its the viscous fan they are all noisy first thing as it gets colder.

yes , but revs get louder and car goes no faster.

It sounds louder as the revs go up.

Yes its the viscous fan making a load of noise, nothing to worry about.
If you are worried about the clutch slipping, try pulling away with the parking brake on and see what it does!2014 D4 XS

theres another thread a new owner asking the same question and he has an auto.The viscous fan starts up fast and has to drop speed this is what causes the roaring noise it is totally normal not even a fault with the fan so relax.
