Is this the Highest MPG???
Hi,
I just thought I would share this with you all:
Is this the highest recorded MPG???
I was very shocked when I looked at it which was about 5 miles after I filled up with fuel.
Cheers

The reading is what any one can get, the readings I have placed on the web are after at least 100 miles. If you fill up set the trip and literally cruise gently it will go up to 60 mpg. Not having that one marc
Once the engine is warm fill up, get up to about 60 then zero the counter, it'll show over 100 mpg for a brief while then it'll settle down slowly to a more normal figureThe End

Damn you found me out....... Yes I did cruise quite gently and for once didn't have to stop at any traffic lights etc.
In all honesty though I do get about 32+ MPG as per the piccy below in normal driving conditions.
Cheers

For a vehicle with so many other state of the art attributes, I find that the trip computer is pretty primative. The computer fitted to a VW Golf is far better.
One aspect that would have been useful would have been a instantaneous MPG reading.
That said, I am with Brian, and the only real way to tell what your MPG is is to calculate in manually. Suffice to say, the computer is optimistic based on the calculations using the manual method.....

VW and Audi are good aren't they. But yes, good old practicalities and maths generally work fine.

Don't forget Seats too after all they are all part of the same group.
My Seat Leon had a very good computer which had two levels of trip i.e. one would automatically reset after 2 hours of ignition off time and the other level would only reset when you reset it manually.
This meant that on a journey you could see the information just for that journey and also since you last filled up (if thats when you reset the level 2 trip).
Cheers
