Any ideas? Having spent the weekend rodding out my sunroof drain pipes with curtain wire and having the carpet out as well as the door in bits, I've still got a wet carpet. The velour strip (that runs all the way around the door) where it tucks under the plastic trim is wet again.

Hi,
When pushing the curtain wire through the drain pipe,it should reach the exit where the pipe ends at the inner wall of the fenders. The one is behind the air intake on the side.My downpipe dislodged where it goes through the inner fender wall, dumping the water behind the inner trim at the footwell.Remove the footwell trim and put the pipe back in posision
Good luck Big Country RR,NL Split Charge,FR Sump Guard,TP Monitor,BAS map

Sounds possibly the same as me some months back - what it was in the end was a combination of 2 things.
1. The drain tube (drivers side) had become disconnected from the outlet knuckle so, clear tubes but all water running inside and not outside. Also ensure the 'star valves' under the wheel arches are clear - best remedy is to cut them back a bit as they get clogged with cr@p.
2. The floor pan channels (under the carpet) are quite deep and can hold a considerable amount of water which will continue to leech into the carpet for an extended period of time. Net result, you think you've still got a leak but you probbaly haven't. Remove the door sill trims and use a synthetic chamois to 'syphon' the water out - take care beacuse that's also where your loom runs and you don't want to cause any additional damge.
Persevere and all will sort itself out - did mine some 6 months ago and been dry as a bone ever since despite the torrential rain we've had these last couple of weeks.
