have on order a D4 for my self and one for Fiona my wife. as Fiona has asked for an XS, the cost of activativating the FBH To=imed option is £850 ex VAT.
i have PM'd 2 forum members to ask if it can be activated later on a 2012 D4. btoh have come back with positive answers.
the question i have is this, if i get it activated after purchase, will this effect the warrenty from LR should anything go wrong?
i suspect it will, but am looking for a little guidence on this. Cheers

I asked my service manager this question before I had the remote bits fitted and activated. Did not think it would but wanted to be safe. I was told that as long as genuine LR parts were used then there would be no problem. Cost me just over £200 in all to buy the remote bits, have them fitted and then activated by TFC
If you do not want the remote operation it should cost less.

Is this just an enable setting job, or is more involved? (if you don't want the remote fob?)

Anyone had the FBH timer enabled in a 2012 model XS yet? The Touchscreen layout is different from previous models so I was just wondering if it could still be done with a yet.
If it definitely can then I'd consider buying the Faultmate and doing it myself as I can't really afford the time for a 600 mile round trip to have it done for me.
Having said that I just picked up the car today and any excuse for a long drive would be great!

believe it's only standard on the HSE and if you want the remote as well then that is an optional extra as well.
