Gwenver beach near Sennen is a great dog friendly beach all year with no restrictions.
There is a private car park at £2 per day above, with a steepish footpath down to beach, well worth a visit. I can also recommend The Old Success pub in nearby Sennen for a spot of lunch and a Rattler's, this has a very dog friendly landlord.

North of Newquay are the usual spots for cars on the beach, Hayle estuary has seen a few and so has marazion/longrock.
They all seem to find that elusive soft sand tho, with similler results.
The authorities also rub salt in buy charging for the recovery and pollution.
Narpy Grill, tinted windows, Smooth leather wheel (TLO Group buy), ACM fitted (thanks TLO), Rear door loom and Row 2 & 3 audio switch upgrade, RRS 20" wheel change, 285 Cooper LTZ's Sat Nav Mod (until I get a Faultmate upgrade), Front & Rear lamp guards. 4x4 screen now switched on - Woody32, Follow me home reverse lights - woody32, Auto release EPB - Woody32. Off Road Navigation - Woody32. Remap + EGR's switched off. Full chassis clean and Waxoyl.

I've never drive on sand - guessing it's a case of deflate tyres a bit then take it smooth and steady. Getting stuck then using sand mode to try and launch out?

Driving on sand requires a very different approach to all other surfaces I have ever driven on, I have driven miles and miles on it.
The Biggest snag is it is so changeable, one minute firm and good going the next soft and loose as a Essex girl but the surface looks the same.
Pulling away smoothly but get up to speed quickly, drive faster than you would think you need to and be ready to give it loads of right foot it the vehicle starts slowing- momentum is everything.
Stop nice and slowly or you will dig big holes to climb out of again.
I don't like driving on the beach, you will get stuck when the tide is coming in! And it fills the car with salty sand
Also you will struggle to find a beach to drive on in the southwest unless you have a reason to be there, or know the owner if it a private one.MY14 post man pat van
