I dont think it has ever been fitted as standard, it an optional extra.

Was standard in 07 HSE. Think the HSE spec has been a downhill drift from then. If I was to get a D4 I'd need to spec about £7000 of extras to make the HSE specs similar.

Mine is an 07, before i bought it i looked at two vehicles - one had it spec'd standard and the the was an optional extra, i bought the optional extra vehicle. the two cars were separated by 1 month

Mine is a MY11 and no rear zircon but the back windows open. Watch this space to see if that's removed from MY12 2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

......has rear AC as standard...I believe it was an option on the other specs......The D2 also had a similar system
The rear & front system works as independant units (as do the front left right)..you can set the system to run contolling things from the front or use the roof mounted controlls at the rear...which feeds the outlets on seats row 2 & 3.
I believe was an option on D3 HSE's up to D4 & now isnt available at all even as an option...
My local dealer says it isnt an option on any market now
In use the system works well as the rear seat passengers can do thier own thing.....as reagrds control of temperature etc.
The only downside it would appear is that you have twice as many aluminium pipes to corrode under the carBREXIT - done properly.

Yep, was standard on my 06 model HSE along with cubby box fridge, adaptive Xenons, memory seats with more adjustability than the lower spec. models, panoramic sunroof, off road satnav. top spec. HK hi fi with a few more speakers and sub woofer, voice activation and probably a few more things that I can't remember/don't ever use.

Got it in my 08 hse, Lucky ,as it's a dealer specced one and it's on the options list , as is fridge , side rubbing strips , premium leather , grand black piano , Etc good for dogs and kids ,2008 ,hse, it does what it says .
