Hi,
I have having a couple of issues with my Disco 3.
The first is the suspension fault - it started off as normal heigh only and now it just says suspension fault, the compressor sounds noisy. I had a new compressor a couple of years ago so not very happy really.
The second is the clutch/gearbox. For a while now it has felt juddery under load (caravan) when accelerating, I asked the garage when it went for a service but they seemed to think it was fine but they did mention a flush (auto).
It has occasionally got stuck in gear when accelerating and changed up a high revs, yeasterday when slowing down, when i tried to acceralte it wasn't in gear and has done it today, I think this is when it wants to be in first gear, the engine just revs but seems to engage after a bit.
Help, I got it service a couple of months ago and the bill was £3300 after discount after I got the air con fixed and a few suspension parts. Getting fed up with it now.
It is an MY05 model and 98,000 miles. Also a member of avforums.com

Gearbox worth getting a megaflush. Around £200 and cures a lot of problems. Dec 04 TDV6 HSE in Tonga green with Alpaca interior.

Dealer will quote more for these sorts of things. You want to find a specialist in your area, lower labour rate will be a saver on the wallet. Hopefully someone in your area will chime in with the detail of an independent near you. You are getting to that age and mileage where things will start wearing out so it might be a good time to consider a good warranty. I think after 100K your options of warranties diminish.

I have got a specialist around the corner who hasn't heard of a flush. He thinks it might be the torque convertor but needs to have it in. I have got the AA breakdown warranty which is good for up to £500 on a breakdown and will probably use that for a new compressor.
Can anyone recommend a good warranty for the disco in case the gearbox is poorly.
Also what does the megaflush involve, is it new oil just once?
Thanks. Also a member of avforums.com
