D3 and RRS Wheels

I'm looking for a second set of wheels for my D3 so I can fit some winter tyres.

I've been looking on flea bay and there are various sellers suggesting that RR Sport wheels will fit directly to D3s.

Does anyone know if this is true?

They will fit but are an inch wider than D3 alloys ...so care is needed with tyre choice...road tyre will be tight but fine ...MTR's will rub.

Right I have a D3, some MTR's on RRS 19s - Do I feel a road test is needed?

But the 255/55 R19 MTR's aren't any bigger than any other 255/55 R19, just deeper tread, so why would/should they rub?

RRS wheels are 9J not the 8 or 8.5J of a D3

Very true, but if they fit with standard tyres on they'll fit with MTRs on

Wouldn't use them myself, prefer the look of the D3 ones and I like the extra 'bulge' you get with the narrower rim
