The back end

The only view of the car I am still not that keen on after 18 months of ownership is from the rear. Has anyone done anything to change the look ie decals or something. I wondered if something like a spare wheel shaped decal might make it look more purposeful. No doubt you have all heard the tranny van comment! Question

My first impression was "Oh dear, what have they done" when I first saw the D3 in the flesh.

However, after 2 years I now think it has a very purposeful butt! It is far more practical than the old heavy wheel/door combo, and you can sit on the tailgate in the rain and drink your coffee without getting wet.

I couldn't get to grips with it at first, now I reckon it's one of the best bits.

Lamp guards and roof rails seem to improve the stance from the rear. A bright orange disco3.co.uk sticker makes a lot of difference - especially if you have a dark window tint. 8)

You can stick the LAND ROVER badge at the back, with a nice exhaust system as mine 8)

Agree that it is very practical - but in zermatt I still think that it looks too "soft" compared with the other views of the car. I might try a circular decal.

Forgive me 3OCSID but what do you mean ?...it sounds like your going to put a 'pretend' wheel on the back.....won't that look like a pigs ear?

Q8_LR3 introduced the LAND ROVER logo idea. To that I would add that the rear ladder helps significantly as well:
