Park brake release and reverse sensors

Hi

Posted a query a few weeks back regarding park brake release error as well as reverse sensors ceasing to work. Add to this gear selector display workibg intermittently.

I was told about brake light problem ( i subsequently found one was out) and resetting cpu by coupling black and red battery terminals - have done this as well as replaced light with LR bulb but still have the brake release error, no reverse sensors and intermittent gear selector

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance

James

You will probably have a fault code stored in the computer and will need to get this cleared to fix the reverse sensors/ gear selector.

Been there and got the T shirt Rolling Eyes

James, go through the reset procedure (reverse then up through the gears not changing until each one shows on the dash display) which is almost guaranteed to fix the issue.
I have the same problem currently and can clear it but it soon reoccurs as my clutch is foobarred (which isn't going to be cheap to fix Big Cry )

Pleased to say this has fixed the problem (going through gears from Reverse 1-2-3-4-5-6) - Fantastic - thanks everyone! Very Happy
