Has anyone managed this as I couldn't get the bracket round the bar today ?
If it doesn't fit can someone please recommend a single bike carrier which will fit LR bars

Thule do an alternative fitting which should come with the rack - it consists of special bolts with very large square heads that slide into the groove of the cross bars which are exposed when you remove the rubber infill strip.
Much more difficult to explain than do! LR Discovery 4 XS pulling an Airstream 532 Caravan also own (since new) a 1996 MGF

Oh and you can always cut the rubbers around your carriers to help with the whistling
Once cut, they still slot back in without any issue
