D4 standard factory towing electrics |
|
Just recieved this email from my dealer, can anyone confirm if it's true as I ordered twin electrics.
"Could you let Mr Watts know that the tow electrics on his new vehicle are the 13 pin style which are now Land Rovers standard fit from the factory"
Not a major issue really, but not what I was expecting. On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

When I ordered the towpack on my D4 I was given the choice, did the dealer ask you which type of electrics you wanted - if not maybe LR just fit the 13 pin version if it's not specified on the order form?

I think your right, but I have 2 emails that I sent to the dealer and in both I specified 2 x 7 pin UK style electrics, I think he forgot to tell LR. I can feel a "something for free" claim coming on On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours on the ramp Max.
I fitted my electrics in an hour and a bit with no prior Discovery knowledge and a simple set of instructions.

I'd get the dealer to supply or pay for a 13 to 2x7pin adapter, that way when you do upgrade the 'van you won't have to change them again or buy another adapter The End

Slimer, to be honest, i'd thought of that, and I already have both types of adaptors in the garage. it's not a big deal for me, just want to use it to give the dealer a bit of a hard time because my car's late On a mission to find the perfect Pork Pie. Just Found it (I think)..(Yes I have)

Good knowledge on the order form. Thanks guys.
Have made sure the dealer knows it is the 7-pin and not the 13-pin that I want! 2016MY Landmark + RSE
