old style radio AUX button but no input

Hi guys. First post here after getting my first Disco 3. 2009 Plate.
All is well except i was looking for the Aux input and came up blank. I have read a few posts and a few say its behind the centre caddy etc but have looked all around the seats etc and there's no inputs to be seen. Was wanting to plug in from mobile to play music from phone etc, but struggling. Also looked into installing Bluetooth somehow to maybe bypass the need for AUX input, but unsure in both cases. Wondering if anyone else had a solution?. Or is it better to fit after market gear to solve it?..thanks for any input, is appreciated.

Hi there, not sure if it’s model dependant but there should be a little flap just under the vents on the back of Center console, there’s a 12v socket as well. If you do have it it’s not that great, I find it only plays at a low volume.

Hi m8, and many thanks for the reply. Checked there and no it isn't there. So the Aux isn't realty worth the bother then for audio?, was hoping to put ipod in there. May have to look into after market unit then. Again, thx for reply.

Passenger footwell behind the plastic trim at the bonnet handle.

Grey plug contains black red and blue wires, worth running an aux cable and socket from there to the centre console, theres a write up somewhere on the site, i'll have a look

Hi,
What spec is your D3?
If it has the wires for aux going to the back of the console you could install something like this:
https://britishamericanconcepts.com/product/lrbt-1/
Which I have installed in my Brit D3.
Otherwise, there are many simple BT gadgets available online that can be wired in.
A search on this site will give you an idea of what different owners have done.
Cheers.

Personally bought a premade plug and play loom with the Aux socket already included then added it to the blank of the temperature dial module

Yeah they hide it well under a flap. Did you find the rear cigar lighter socket ?

I put mine in the fag lighter facia and took the feed from the passenger footwell and swapped the socket for a USB point

Hi Pete

Here’s a better picture of the loom , already has the Aux cable fitted , just plugs into the radio and main loom
