Two quick ERG question

Hi to all.
Just got back from holiday in Cornwall with the caravan. Suffered loss of power on the way down and the appropiate message "engine system fault" on the dash. Put it into Riders of Truro who diagnosed o/s ERG at 30% and n/s at 100%. They replaced the o/s and everything is now fine. I wasn't in a position to be able to blank anything off so a replacement was fitted. My question is, now that the o/s has been replaced I'm thinking of replacing the n/s as there is no point in blanking with one new ERG already fitted. Can I fit another ERG without the vehicle going on the computer. Is it a straight replacement? And secondly does anyone know what the readings represent.

Thanks Roger

Yes you can. Doesn't need to be reset as it will clear at worst after the third start up diagnostics check.

Fault will still be stored in the brain, but will not affect anything.

Why do you think the other one needs changing at this moment? I had the o/s one changed on mine 3 1/2 yrs ago, and the original n/s one is still OK. I wouldn't waste your money. Wink

Thanks DN I will let it run and see what happens. I take your point D4JWW and let the o/s run until it fails and then consider a blanking job. However in Europe as I understand the MOT includes EGR operation, this is not the case here. Is it under consideration in the UK for the future.
