I'm new on this forum but noted somewhere somone asked about the Winch set up. When I brought my D3 I asked about fitting a winch. LR gave me a price and I nearly ran for the hills. But they gave me a name of a chap who had actually fitted my winch to my Toyota before. He has come up with a fitmant plan for the D3. It works perfectly and is very neat. Have a look at the pictures. Note the fish. The installation is very neat and now all the local dealerships are sending the new D3 to him. It only cost $300 for the fitment. Plus I have a detachable tow bar for my boat. The first weekend away the D3 performed well on the beach. Had to let the tyres down to 0.8 bar as pulling 1.5 tons on the beach is hard work. The D3 was great. Enjoy.
How do you paste a picture here? Bad day fishing is better then a good day in the office.

I was never too good at reading last questions, especially in exams. You'd have thought I'd have learned but noooooo!

Hi Don
Nice rig you have. I fitted an ARB with Warn Tabor winch and detachable towbar. Will post some pics. Great fish by the way

Catweasel. The towbar slides in under the winch plate. Had to make a little cut into the section you remove when you need to be towed. It was not a nice thing to watch. The only down side is if teh winch needs work we will have to remove the bumper. Quite easy as it clips together.
Brucehun do your airbags still work with a ARB? Bad day fishing is better then a good day in the office.

Don, the ARB is the only one so far that is airbag compatible. It looks really awesome.
