This is what I just ordered http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic65898.html?highlight=

Am currently wrestling with adding long black roof rails (like a Landmark) and colour coded arches as I am split between the reduced 'scratchability' of the d3 arches/rear bumper and wanting it to look like a d4 rather than a d3 from the back

I will also add light guards but will look for them 2nd hand or on offer somewhere.

Would like them all but understand some will drive me mad like high beam assist, is the active diff option worth having , seems many people don't have this.

You won't go far wrong by ordering the same as Mr H. Active rear diff is nice but not essential unless you are doing a lot of serious off-roading.

High beam assist is a definite no no - had it on a loaner I had for 2 weeks and turned it off in the end.

Active diff - as ENT says. I have only ever once felt any kind of difference - when at Tong last time there was a very specific cross axle section that was also quite tight width wise as well the humps being quite big (one wheel was always dangling about in the air). I was able to go through with control slowly whereas the non e-diff cars definitely needed more 'welly' (with the increased risk of damage) to get through. 90s, 110s and D2s were fine - it was a very specific function of the D3 wheelbase, width and the position of the humps. The chance of hitting that kind of obstacle again is very slim I would say. I ticked the box just in case and also as I tow a heavy caravan just in case it helps a little with traction issues but in reality money is best spent here on different tyres (which I will also do but after the D4 arrives).

I have adaptive headlights on my D3 and the D4 loaner I had for 2 weeks did not have it. I would say the D3 adaptives are better but I understand the D4 adaptives bend less than D3 and the difference anyway is negligible I think. For me Halogen to Xenon = huge jump and is a 'must have', Xenon to Adaptive Xenon = small jump.

I am not getting electric memory seat and I wonder how I will do with this. I love the fact in the D3 HSE I have memory function but the spending had to end on the D4 order!

I would suggest seeing if you can get a long test drive in different trim levels to see which trinkets you feel personally are must have.

Whatever you do the D4 is phenomenal

Cheers
Craig
