Worst designed part on a D3 - lower glovebox bulb (holder) |
|
Never missed a light in the lower glovebox till my wife said to me last week why there wasn't one?
The little jumper suggested there was something electronical but it took me 3 looks and a confirmation from this very site that there was a W5 bulb indeed.
First I though that finding that damn bulb was the hard part till I tried swapping it. Unbelievable. Getting it out was a pig but getting a new one back in near impossible. Now I understand why changing this bulb isnt in the manual.
Seen some prety crappy designed LR parts over the years but this one is on the top of my list CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS

If you lower the glove box panel al the way down and kneel down you can see it from the side looking up.
You can then lever it out with a tiny screwdriver. Getting it back in is a trial and error thing CLUB ILLEGAL CAR WASHERS
