Adaptive Xenons dont work like the D3's

On my previous D3 you could really see the lights move round corners but on my D4 you hardly see any movement Confused - Is this normal for the D4 adaptives?

The cornering lights work ok.

No offence but did you actually spec the adaptives as not standard on even HSE anymore..

I specified them on my HSE. They seem to work by firing up an auxiliary lamp on the left or right side according to which way you turn or indicate (must try turning left and indicating right somevtime). They work fine and I can clearly see an additional patch of illumination although I'm not sure I'd notice if it wasn't there.

Rolling Eyes Wink

Quite a few things are no longer standard on the HSE Big Cry and once you have had the adaptive lights you would not want the standard ones, so yes I did spec them as an extra, along with a few other items. Only thing I couldn't get that I had on the D3 was the rear aircon.

The cornering lights work fine and you can see them come on, but on my D3 when turning at junction or going around a bend slowly you could really see the lights moving side to side but I don't get that on the D4 Confused

Mine work, apart from the start-up dance, exactly as they did on the D3. Noticeable movement.

Thanks Winger Thumbs Up looks like there may be a problem then as I've only ever noticed a slight movement on the nearside headlight.

Land Rover Marketing please take note.....

customers actually commenting about the lack of this feature being available even as a "customer specify - customer pay" option
The fact it isnt available makes me hold onto my "real" HSE D3 that vhas all the toys (that are worthwhile & used) as standard....
HSE should mean all the options....
 BREXIT - done properly.

Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Hear, Hear.. Especially regarding the rear aircon- v handy for kids in the back summer or winter. I even enquired with Gaydon- some cock and bull re weight limits

They don't do a noticeable start up dance in the way the D3's did, but appear to be programmed differently:- on slow hard corners the "cornering infill" lights (which point out to the side as if they are sidelights) come on whereas these only came on with almost right hand junction tuens on the D3; and the adaptive Xenons themselves are less obvious in their cornering movements but are moving a few degrees whereas on the D3 the adaptive xenons appeared to move much more!
