alpawa wrote:I've checked all parts of the turbo (turbo itself, actuator rod and actuator itself) they all work! The thing is this: turbo was remanufactured, so it was removed and all parts were out, my best guess is that the actuator rod stoppage (tiny screw like on the accelerator) is somehow off its correct setting so I will try to adjust it to get the turbo to get to its correct pressure and keep it, since it is opening the variable vanes too soon (at least its my feeling).
Does anyone have experience adjusting the turbo? Any help greatly appreciated!

So can anyone on here please advise on the exact part number that DOES fit MY05? I'm hovering over the Buy It Now button on Ebay for part LRO23086- but others earlier in this thread appear to cast doubt on if this will fit? D4 HSE in Stornoway- love it. Bodsy thank you- car had some flat spots and needed restarting a couple of times- under load- so I 'nursed' it at 90 all the way back- even getting 32.8mpg out of it at one point
I'll grab the part and have a go this week- and change a brake bulb too D4 HSE in Stornoway- love it. Jaguar XF, MG TF, D2 ES V8 and 2x TR7s for playing!

Changing it isn't For the feint hearted....
No vin listed on another couple of bits I've checked, but as you say, some 05's can't be changed.
Good job that you have a 6a chassis then! Bodsys Brake Bible

Have free'd off many of them
Sorry to retrieve this thread, but I a have a P132B error code, the MAP is clean and maybe I will try to clean the intake manifold (do not know If i can loosen the intercooler hose before the throttle body and spray it in there)
However, with this repair kit LR023086, I have acess from above and the wheel arch, but must I gain access by the exhaust side as well? There is a screw, pointing towards the back of the vehicle.
Thank you

Does this mean the entire body still has to come off to do this job to the turbo, if that is the case is it not better to simply change the turbo completely, or is this method much cheaper?

Hi
You might want to look at this more current thread. ill try to talk to the garage today to find out what my codes were, but it looks like mine was the actuator solenoid as all the mechanical bits were clean and free.

I have a LHD. I removed the plastics near the master brake cylinder and worked through the engine bay. With a screwdriver and a wire I freed this lever and it works! Thanks god and to this forum. When I will have more time, I will try tro grease this ball head a little bit and wiill think of "sophisticated" methods to place some grease there.
