Got my car back today - was waxolied yesterday.
Good news is that a D3 can be done completly inside and out without drilling any holes and taking off any of the exterior plastic trim / Wheel arches etc.
And wax oil smells less offensive than the tar product used to treat my old car
If you guys think the FBH smoke can be a little scary - try burning waxoil off the exhaust on the freeway going home from the waxoil shop - thats smoke
Soooo
FBH timer - Installed
Electronic parking timer - installed
Glove box lid - adjusted
Missing lid on rear bumper at delivery - installed
Mud flaps front and rear - post delivery ordered and installed
Squeaky sound - outstanding, mechaninc has not been able to provoke the sound and locate it.
paint flaws - Land Rover Denmark is obviously too busy to schedule an appointment with me and come see my car for weeks now. Dealer called last friday to excuse, but still no phone call from LR DK. Well the poor guy from LR DK probably has a nice ladrover and he has to drive 200 miles to come see my car, and he gets paid to do so on top of it. No wonder he's so hard to get here
So all in all 1½ months old and she's nearly sorted - even thogh the paint flaw issue is irritating me big time.
Cheers
Jakob

Your fellow D3ers on the left side of the ocean don't know what waxoil is. Can you elabotate on what this is for us? I asked my wife and she said it sounds painful!

Waxoil is rust protection.
There are two product families used for auto rust prevention. Tar based and wax based. As LR uses wax based from the factory, it has to wax based for followup treatment.
Waxoil is an oily substance made up of wax and thinner of some kind. Wax get sparyed on, thinner evaportaes, and leaves a wax surface. This is done underbody, inside frame , inside doors and tailgates, inside bodypanels, inside bonnet structure... Everywhere! on metal parts that are not the outside coat of paint or inside the cabin.
Cheers
