Clicking rattle sound from rear nearside wheel area.
As the subject says. After dropping off the tintent at its storage, SWMBO noticed a rattle as I slowly passed. It is only audible with the windows open and more from the nearside. With the windows shut there is no evidence of anything being wrong. At urban speeds it does not seem to be there unless road noise is masking it?
I can only describe the noise as a snapping click sound. I'm thinking is there a cv joint on the rear shafts that may be worn. Feeling the wheels there is no high temperature, so my thinking it is not a bearing or binding brake.
So its over to you Land Rover guru's, before I go to the stealers.
My D3 is booked in on the 9th for a track rod end, front diff extension oil seal, top tailgate switch so the list is growing with the warranty ending in August. Run silent, run deep!! HM Submarines Conqueror, Churchill, Renown, Ocelot, Porpoise, Onslaught.

CV joint is my WAG, induced by too much dragging a oversized rabbit hutch around!
PS I've had a few bearing replaced an AFAIK none of them resulted in a hot wheel.
Del,
This is its first outing this year. Had a very peaceful long weekend in the Oxfordshire countryside.
Saw plenty of D3's all non members and as yet I remain unspotted!!

Thinking CV due to the clicking nature, bobbycrispbox had similar in Tunisia couple of years ago. Bearing just drones & it gets louder, bit like you get with mud tyres on.
