Rough idle caused by pulling EPB fuse?

My parking brake needs new shoes and adjustment, so to stop me operating it by accident I pulled the fuse out. Could this have caused me to now have a rough idle, as in this thread

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic43974.html?highlight=hunting

I can't go and put the fuse back in as the car is with my mechanic waiting to have the shoes done.

Just for my own peace of mind really, before I start planning how to "dispose" of my motor Twisted Evil

Putting the fuse back in has sorted the fault!

My mechanic says that chances are the EPB fuse also has some other items of electronic equipment coming off it or the ECU for the EPB is linked to the idle control in some way and this is what has caused it!

In the past I've had an intermittent fault on the EPB (electrical) with would cause the red light on the dash to light up, at the same time I would develop a rough idle, would nearly stall when manuvouring in a car park and the cruise control wouldn't work. Clear the fault codes everything back to normal till the next time the EPB went down.
