Discovery 4 Mood lighting
When i spect up my second D4 i wanted mooding lighting which is standed in the HSE but i have brought XS
Its not available as a option
So i now have the car and i wonder
I took of the front drivers door card off and yes the plug is there for mood lighting
Went on to the landrover TOPIX site and download photos were the loom goes and the LEDs go.
Ordered up the front mood light from dealer and fitted this week end just gone
Very easy job to do about 30mins a door
The door card is made to take the LEDs and the loom has its own route to go
Front door mood light part number is LR021380 Retail £16.14 each
Rear door mood light part number is LR021381 Retail £16.14 each
SORRY IF YOU DON,T KNOW WHAT MOOD LIGHTING IS ITS LEDs WHICH LIGHTS UP THE GRAB HANDLE THE DOOR LATCH AND THE DOOR POCKET WHEN THE SIDE LIGHTS ARE ON
IT LOOKS GREAT AND VERY CHEP TO DO

sorry no back i have ordered the rear door lights today and will fit at the week end and i will post photos how its done

don't suppose you checked out the puddle light possibility as well?
seems they only come with surround camera option but if the loom is active for the mood lights it could be in the wing morrors waiting for a simple add on for these too? XC90 T8 R Design Pro

I,m not to sure about puddle light
My D4 XS has a small light under the door card pocket which lights up the floor when you open the door
And it has a light under the wing mirror next to the camera which comes on when you unlock the carRemote time climate

if you have the suround cameras you also have the mirror puddle lamps
with out the surround cameras you only get the light in the bottom of the door that shows the puddle you have just stood in! XC90 T8 R Design Pro

i like them lights goin to do this mod on my d3 and take feed from iluminated light switch are the leds only 2 wires

great may be better takin a feed off the puddle lights then so they just come on and go off with doors opening and closing lookin forward to the pics chaps

you got to have them on with the side lights it lights up the door handle so you can see to use them it looks great in the dark

Had email from dealer to say rear door LEDs have come in today
So hope the sun is out at the week end

Very cool! I quite fancy this mod for my D4 SE as I have it on another car and was miffed that I couldn't have it on my Disco without going for an HSE.
Here's the official picture from the website. It appears that there are two LEDs per door, one near the door release pointing down and another near the door handle (pointing forwards?).
Have you had a thought about fitting the addtional unit(s) near the rear view mirror?
