Hi and welcome. The spots are ok, but they do move around as the mountings are weak. Good light power though.

Sadly, none of the extras you want are included (well, not on my HSE anyway, but it is an 04 model so things may be different now).

Halfords sell them cheap though.

Car doesn't come with first aid kit, warning triangle or fire extinguisher. All can be purchased from LR, but a fraction of the price is purchased elsewhere.

As far as accessories go, then most are for looks rather than any real practical purpose. I'm thinking off lamp guards, spots (bi-xenons are bright enough!) and A-bar. Side rubbing strips can protect doors. I find the side steps very useful, but they do hinder off-road driving a lot. Mudflaps may keep the car a bit cleaner, but then can be damaged off-road (mine still in tact though).
The best accessory I have in my car is a Brodit phone mount, so the phone is on view (uses bluetooth).
Full rubber mat set and rubber boot liner are a must. You can pick up cheaper on eBay along with non-LR boot liners.

Most used D3 accessory...........a fuel card!

I got the LR warning triangle and LR first aid kit from ebay for peanuts...even cheaper than I could have got it elsewhere I reckon...
Got the fire extinguisher from Halfords though...

Sad I would not recomend spot lights from a dealer I was quoted over £700.00 way to much

Welcome and there's no excuse for you not to turn up at one of the SE meets in Cobham as you're in Leatherhead. If you do that you can have a look at some well kitted out D3's and decide from there. BTW there's one tonight but usually once a month or so.

Most useful accessory: full set (all 3 rows) of rubber mats.
If you won't be using the 3rd row seats much, a rubber boot mat is a good idea, too. If your supplying dealer won't sell you them at sensible money, try Nick at LR Yeovil & he'll give you a good deal. Alternatively, lots always coming up on ebay.
Most useLESS accessory: fridge under armrest... but sadly standard kit on HSE & can't be de-selected.

This (and the floor well mats) is an absolute MUST - the first thing I got for mine - £20 of pond liner - waterproof (obviously) and folds up as easy as a teatowel so you get get one or both third row seats up in a flash. Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Cheers guys,

Hunters have sorted me out with rubber mats all round. However I will order the boot liner off Nick.

Sorry can't make the meet tonight as I just got back from work and promised to go to Nandos with my GF. I don't think my rental corsa 1.4 will fit it. (god 1st march seems so far away)

Whats the date of the next meet?

You'd be surprised - I've seen gazavich (I think) turn up in a Ford Mundane once and worst of all, VA came in a FFRR au Poivre Laughing Laughing Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
