Can anybody advise if a 2010 navdisk was released for the d3 satnav system - when would one expect the 2011 one?

I see that there was a 2009-2010 one released by Navteq. Can anybody help me with an approximate date as to when this was first available for commercial sale - I'm having a disagreeement with L/Rover SA regarding my 2010 vehicle being supplied with a 2008-2009 nav disk

Hi Gert,
I fought for 3 weeks, but they have a really twised sense of logic & I eventually grew tired of trying to explain everything to them again & again.
So, in a nutshell, LRSA gave me the big corporate finger.
I still can't understand how they can justify that a vehicle registered in 2010 is correctly equipped with a 2008-2009 software package when a newer version was released on June 2009.
I'm actually now looking to either rip one off the net or copy one - just out of spite for LRSA & their crap attitude to customer service. Buying one will be giving in to them & I intend to have justice in the en

Hi Guys, on this subject and as a new owner of 2006 D3, - Does the Navdisc fit into the CD player ? If so, I didn't get one with the car. If not, where does it fit ??

Hey Bob,
CD player is for CD's & MP3's only.
Your satnav DVD player is under your front passenger seat, within which will be nestling the DVD in question.

James

Thanks BigJim, I've been used to RR Classics and Disco 1s so this new Electronic filled machine, although magnificent, is a little daunting to start.

Hi Bob
If you put the ignition on position 1 you can unlock and remove the navdisk to chech what release the navdisk is. Replace in the same way. But be warned LR charges the price of two garmins for a updated navdisk. I think the latest release is 2009-2010.
Cheers

RTFM springs to mind
j/k Bob - they are indeed fantastic vehicle, my old man is a die-hard D1 man & it has taken me the best part of 3 years to persuade him to look at a D2. Don't think he will ever move onto a D3
