Multiple warning lights - temporarily |
|
I have noticed the "Low coolant level" and red triangle coming on quite rarely and going off a few miles later. The coolant level is fine.
Today I had several amber warnings about gearbox fault, stability control fault, park brake fault ... although the car felt fine. I pulled into a parking bay, turned the engine off and restarted - no further problems.
Any advice? Paul

Hi,
Similar experience without coolant problem.
I am new to this forum and I am hoping someone may be able to give me some advice regarding my new Disco 4 SE (3l diesel).
So far I am loving the car. It handles beautifully and even in the city, its easy to manoeuvre and gives you a brilliant view of the road. The car is a month old and I have done 3500 kms. We have just started a long drive down the coast, and after 2 hours of trouble free driving (no towing), suddenly there was a pause in acceleration that did not respond to more accelerator. Seemed to self rectify after about 5 seconds, then a whole series of warnings came up including "Gearbox Fault", "Emergency Brake Assist Not Available", Stability Control Not Available", "Park Brake Fault", and "HDC Not Available".
I stopped and turned off the car, restarted and there were no faults listed but when I tried to turn cruise Control On, a warning saying "Cruise Control Not Available" came up (with no cruise control). Again tried stopping, locking and unlocking the car before driving off, and still no cruise control.
Has anyone had any similar issues? Any ideas?
I would be very grateful for any advice or opinions.
Cheers.

Do you left foot brake? If so then these lights will come on if you've inadvertantly touched both pedals at the same time momentarily. It has happened a couple of times to me over the last 15 months.
