a question about geometry

Any one offer and advice or views here.

I recently changed my 17" for 20" , should I now be going for a new geometry
setup ?

Hi, I would think that the actual rolling diameter of the tyres on either 20" or 17" wheels would be the same or pretty close, albeit the profile of the tyres would be vastly different, and the tyres on the 20" wheels would obviously be wider. I would not be in a rush to suggest that you should go and have anything altered, it should not require it, unless of course you are finding that the car doesn't drive straight, or pulls to one side when braking etc, or is wearing tyres quickly or unevenly ( some do this anyway with standard wheels/tyres). Hope this helps.

Agree: no.

You must, though, ensure that the wheels are balanced correctly.

Thanks Guys.

Every thing feels fine with the current setup even at high speed, All the wheels
were balanced prior to fitting and I have no vibrations or pulling to any side.

Im sure everything is Ok , just wanted to make sure that the Disco doesnt eat my new tyres .

While I have you , can anyone suggest the correct tyre pressure for a 275/45/20
(standard road use) with no load in the Disco.

Thanks again Chaps.

Barry
