New d4 manual seats

Hi all. First post but been watching for a while why I waited for my d4 se 3.0 SDV6.

Very very impressed so far and worth the wait. The engine is superb.

The only issue I have is the manual front seat because I can't tilt the front of the seat up enough to be fully comfortable. I feel like I'm sliding forward sometimes.

Does anyone else find this?
I was thinking of putting in some sort of spacer in the front seat mount to somehow tilt it up a fraction. Could this be done at all?

Excellent forum for a great car and overall very happy.

Cheers all

hi fix410

I had similar complaint after enjoying the comfort of previous RRS seats. The HSE seats on the D4 give that little bit of extra squab height adjustment but the SE manual seat falls annoyingly short. I was able to place 5mm spacers under the front seat mounts which made a significant difference, although I intend to revisit this as I am sure this can be improved.

cheers

Thanks very much for that raadar. I am sure that will do the trick for the time being as well.

Do you put them where the front screw is that goes through the track?

I would love to upgrade to electric one day if possible but I will give this a shot.

Cheers

I placed them between the seat support bracket and the track traveller fitting. The length of the existing vertical screw only allowed the extra 5mm before engaged thread length became a problem.

Yes, very much so.. Seems to be bedding in a bit now but still seem to be sliding.

Also my wife is most upset as there is no height adjustment at all on the passenger seat.
She is not over tall & feels lost sitting so low down..
