So... what is in the back of a Commercial?
Way back in the mists of time, I wondered what the back of a commercial looked like...
I asked the dealer but they just looked blank...
I peered in the back of one of our suppliers but that just looked full...
Here for your viewing pleasure (and to stop me e-mailing large files to perfect strangers on a regular basis...) is a quick peek in the back of a Discovery 4 Commercial!
Had to take the photos with the door open as the black plastic and rubber matting is some sort of anti-matter that seems to absorb every spec of light - previous photos have ended up really dark.
What this doesn't show is that the front area (where the seats would normally go) has a false floor installed and there is a fairly cavernous space under the ply but still within the metalwork that forms the frame for the load guard. During the snow I used this space for wellies, somewhere to shove the snow shovel (didn't expect to get stuck myself but you never know who else needs your help!) and the strops and shackles went in the lockers to either side of the missing '3rd row' seats.

Thanks for the pics, I was wondering too what a commercial was all about. Howecer I'm surprised that all the plastic side panels are still there in the rear area, they're not flat sections, or a harder material, or ply etc.
If the vehicle is used commercially doesn't the back get hammered?
Must be difficult to get all that blood washed off

You can get a set of rear seats that fold up and come with a certificate of conformity to van rules.

Just ordered mine, due in early June.
I hope I have made the right decision, its replacing a full fat TD V8, but its all about vat and tax which seems a sad way to choose a car.If you are not part of the solution,you are part of the problem!
