System check complete message gone

Hi

Had mine to the dealers on friday to get timer for the FBH fitted.

Over the weekend i have noticed that the "system check complete" does not appear secs after ignition. Im pretty sure i had it together with the bong before. Now i only have the bong - anyone else noticed something like this ?

Also engine got more diesel engine sound'ish and "diesel engine rattle" is louder - so maybe i got enhanced. But i wonder why as it was produced in July where the enhancement was allready out.

Cheers
Jakob

Hello Jakob,

I only get a system check message and don't think I ever got a 'complete' message (unless I just didn't see it!).

I just listen for the bong.
 Have a nice day!

I had the s/w enhancement done last Friday. I cannot say if it was good or bad yet.

System Check Message still there and the bong.

I have a new little letter appearing in the driver's info display - "i>" when I select Sportshift. Don't know what it is telling me because the "i" doesn't do anything Confused Ithought it was telling me to push the "i" on the indicator stork but it just cahnges then info display.

Chris,

If you keep flicking through the Info Display, it will display that you are in CommandShift mode again for a few seconds.

I posted a question about "i>" elsewhere and as a result, went and pressed the i on end of stalk. Just scrolled through options as normal, so I'm not sure what the "i>" is trying to tell me. I dont have the computer display the sits in the center of the dash, it displys in the main info panel in the dash. I dont remember it being there before.

As far as I can tell, the i> indicates that there is a system message that can be displayed by pressing the 'i' button on the stalk. My D3 did this from day one, so maybe there is some mention of this in my manual. I'll have a look...

if it is displayed permanently, it indicates a software mismatch, possibly due to some of the software applied in the enhancement didn't 'take' properly

Yep, it is even in my manual: the i> symbol indicates that there is a message to read by repeatedly pressing the 'i' button.
You can try this out by switching DSC off: the i> appears and after the 'DSC SWITCHED OFF' message disappears you can read it again by cycling through the screens with the 'i' button.

Don't know about the permanent i>, my software is apparently ok Very Happy
