Anyone looking for a bargain satnav with big screen & TV
I bought one of these last year, cost nearly £300, I have had an email offering some refurbed ones cheap, it has freeview built in and maps, it is the right size for the blank space on a GS, but I have mine mounted on the windscreen mount so it faces me, all info here
Includes Europe mapping I think. TV is crystal clear.

Very funny, the other was NOT lost, just put away by the wife for safe keeping amongst some cigars a year ago, as I don't smoke I didn't even look there for it, it's not the most obvious place to look is it!

I'm comparing to a new D4 HSE by not upgrading i.e. keeping it and sorted out yr 4's warranty

DT , any chance you can post a pic of it where the sat nav would go in the space ?
The measurements given are 196mm x 105mm but this is too big for the hole.
Would be intrested to see what it looks like before buying it

OK, here are a couple of pics, sorry but the car is facing into the sun and is being cleaned so some stuff on the bonnet
I didn't put it into the slot where the Sat Nav normally goes, I used the bracket which gives me a clear view of it facing me, I can the turn it if anyone wants to watch TV, but we have ipads for that
There are 3 cables, the right hand one goes to a TV aerial, the left ones are power and traffic alert, all have been neatly into the dash and out of the way
So here are the pics, I have two pics of where I have it at present, I then removed it to show the bracket, then placed it in the Sat Nav space for you to see, and you are right it is a tiny bit big, but you could mount it there if you wanted as it doesn't look stupid or cost £2,000 And lastly the aerial

My garmin died so this could be what my GS needs, what's the interface like, which gps software does it use? Discotres have got the settings page on your GS when you press i on left stalk?A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2

Everything is built in, here is the link to their main site which sells loads of others, you could e-mail them to ask about mapping for your area of the world as it comes complete with all of Europe.
